Beginner’s Guide to 3D Printing with the FlashForge Adventurer 5M

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Unbox and Setup Your Printer:

  • Unbox the FlashForge Adventurer 5M carefully.
  • Plug in the power cable and turn on the printer using the switch.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the printer, including leveling the build plate (calibration). The touchscreen guides you through this.

2. Install the Filament:

  • Open the filament compartment on the side of the printer.
  • Insert the spool of filament into the holder.
  • Feed the filament into the small hole leading to the extruder until you feel it grip.
  • On the printer’s touchscreen, select “Load Filament.” The printer will pull the filament through the nozzle; you should see some filament extrude out. This means it’s loaded correctly.

  • Download a 3D model file in .STL format from websites like Thingiverse or MyMiniFactory.
  • Alternatively, you can create your own model using software like Tinkercad (free and beginner-friendly).
